Baby H - Week 17!

How far along: 

17 weeks as of  05/01/2015

How big is baby:

Onion!  5.1" and 5.9oz! This week most of baby's cartilage is turning into bone and baby is starting to put on fat! The umbilical cord is getting thicker and stronger.

Weight gain:

+2 total. I've lost about 2lbs int he last two weeks and am hoping that stops soon. Doc says that because I was overweight to begin with I may not gain very much which is totally fine by me but I don't want to lose a ton either. I want baby to be healthy, most importantly! 

Gender:

 Not sure! Ramzi, Chinese Gender and HB all suggest girl but we won't know for sure for a little while! Do you want to field a guess? Click here!

Symptoms:

The throwing up definitely amped up this week. The nausea has been a little more on and off and there has been good days. There was one day where I felt perfectly fine and got sick which I think was actually better than the nausea so maybe we can just transition to that???

Sleep: 

Still good!

Food Cravings: 

I'd just rather not think about food this week. I miss you, food.

Movement:  

Sometimes I think maybe?

Belly Button: 

In.

Stretch Marks: 

I think I might be getting a few new ones! I'm not going to bother counting them, I already have so many it doesn't even matter lol

What I'm looking forward too:  

Our anatomy scan is a week from today! I will probably announce it on the Friday as we are doing a mini celebration with the family before we tell anyone else but I am SO FREAKING EXCITED to find out what this baby is! Neither of us minds either way but we really want to know! 

Pregnancy Moment with Steve:

Steve and I bought our condo in the building my dad and I lived in when I was a teenager. A lot of the same people live here and know me pretty well. There is this old man who is always up in everybody's business and he's been asking Steve for weeks if I'm pregnant (it started before we were telling people) and we ran into him while we were voting. His wife made some comment about how I'd grown up and he pointed out that I was married and then proceeded to stare at my stomach for 5 minutes, he didn't ask though. It was pretty funny. I feel like it's getting obvious and he will know soon enough!
