On Tuesday this week I got to meet my gynecologist and I hate to say it, I wasn't impressed. First of all, it's far from my house which sucks. Steve had to work so I had to beg and plead with the lovely Andrea and she was kind enough to take me to the appointment.
The gynecologist hadn't reviewed any of the information sent over by my GP or my endocrinologist. She had no idea why I was there. I had to explain what we've already done, how long we've been trying and everything. She's having me redo all my blood work because she hadn't checked the files sent over. I had to talk her into considering an HSG. She wanted to send Steve for another SA (haha like I could ever make him do that again) and was surprised he'd already gone. She had no idea I have PCOS and said she doesn't actually believe it's a fertility issue.
She also told me that the problem was we aren't zen enough and unless we reach the perfect zen state of mind we won't ever get pregnant and I have to call bullshit on that one. It was just fruitless for the most part. I felt like she has no interest in helping us what so ever.
When I saw my GP this week on Monday I asked her to get us on the wait list for the fertility clinic and I'm thinking that's probably our best option now.
Here's hoping that the fertility specialist is much more helpful than "reach for your zen." Puh-lease. What a bunch of hooey.
ReplyDeleteAbsolutely. Especially because if "stress" really was the problem my ovulation would have gotten worse.................... not better. ugh.
