Baby H - Week 27!

How far along: 

27 weeks as of  07/10/2015 

How big is baby:

A head of lettuce! She should weigh in around 2.5lbs. We have a scan next week so we will be able to get her weight then! Her brain is working like crazy and she's starting to control a lot of her basic functions. She can now tell the difference between sweet and bitter tastes. For the most part, she's just working on putting on weight!

Symptoms:

Sick. More heartburn. I've been taking a Zantac every day to help with the heartburn and still find myself taking tums sometimes too. I'm ready for the throwing up to stop, not gonna lie. We have the whole third trimester left and I'm feeling pretty done with getting sick. 

Sleep: 

Waking up to pee some nights. Waking up to throw up on others. It's much cooler at night these days so I'd like to start sleeping well again pls.

Food Cravings: 

Cinnamon ice cream, mini donuts (getting all the sugar cravings out til my 2 hr GD results?)

Movement:  

Not a whole lot more but her kicks feel so strong when I do feel them! She has moved off my cervix, thank goodness! I don't think I could do 14 weeks with her on it. Hopefully she stays off until closer to D-day. Well, it looks what I thought was her heat butting my cervix was either her feet or her butt. She's still head up, hoping she turns soon!

I think I might be getting a few new ones! I'm not going to bother counting them, I already have so many it doesn't even matter lol

Pregnancy Moment with Steve:
GD test with my awesome husband<3, it was a long two hours but nice to have someone to chat with. We had it at the lab in Chestemere and it was so dead I think I might book all my lab appts there going forward...

We picked up a diaper bag for Ellie. I got it off Kijiji and even though I washed it twice it still smells like smelly baby wipes so I left it open to air out and Harley's decided it's a great place to nap. In the meantime, it smells better now that it's gotten some air and I'll be washing the cat hair out of it this week. I'm feeling a little... nesting this week so I'm starting to pack Ellie's hospital stuff and plan to do mine over the next couple weeks. Plus, aside from the smell it looks brand new. It just smells like she washed it with baby wipes or something.
