While my first two cycles on the Letrozole looked really good, my last one is not looking good at all. CD19 today with no confirmed ovulation. I had all the signs of impending ovulation but it doesn't look like I actually ovulated.
I'm a little frustrated cos I ovulate on my own anyway so why wouldn't I ovulate on medication that is supposed to make you ovulate? Rude, letrozole. Just rude.
I don't know what this means for our appointment in 20 days. I go for blood work next week to confirm whether or not I ovulated (I don't think it's possible to ovulate without showing a temperature shift but, hey, stranger things have happened). I'll be sure to bring my three medicated charts as well as the two previous ones for comparison. I'm not sure if we will try Clomid or if we will look into IUI. I wonder if they would do IUI with out Letrozole or Clomid? With everything I've read about Clomid, I'd like to avoid it if possible.
I've been doing some research on PCOS and I think we need to overhaul our eating completely. I mean I can be cute and track what I eat as much as I want but it's not overly effective. I need to say goodbye to a lot of the foods I love (*sniffle* I'll always love you, cake!) simply because they aggravate my condition. My endocrinologist seemed to think there was a threshold with PCOS and if you weighed less than your threshold your symptoms would be significantly reduced.
I don't know. I really don't. This cycle has been frustrating and defeating. I feel like this whole journey has been two steps forward, two sets back and we're just dancing in the same spot over and over again.
I had a month where I did ovulate too on the drugs, so annoying. But I don't without them so I guess that's different. I also stopped temping!! ha ha Hated that too. :)
