Steve moved out here about 8 years ago. His first trip to the mountains was our honeymoon, 5 years later! And then we never had a chance to get back until this year! Poor guy. Now that I am working full time we had some extra cash and got a great living social deal.
We left Saturday afternoon and drove to Banff in whiteout conditions. It was scary. I would have turned around to go home but by the time it got that bad we were closer to Banff. The Inn we stayed at had an inhouse pizzeria! The night we got there we ordered some seriously good pizza and watched a movie. Sunday we spent the day walking around town and just seeing Banff itself. The National Park is huge, it's gonna take more than one visit to show it to Steve so we started with the town and next time we will see more! the only disappointment is the Wildlife Museum is closed until May :( so we are hoping to take a day trip out just so Steve can see it!
Monday we had breakfast and headed home! It was a nice weekend away :)
