Easter, Weight Loss Update and uhm. Cats?
So last weekend was Easter! As a chubby girl I love Easter. And Valentine's Day, Halloween, Christmas and occasionally Thanksgiving. You know, the major holidays with the major eats and treats.
We didn't really do anything super special to celebrate it at home. I had Good Friday off from school so I worked (time and half baby!) and then I worked my usual shift on Saturday. Steve worked both those days too. On Sunday we got up early with the intentions of going to the gym, until I pulled a muscle in my calf existing and we had to skip it.
We went over to my dad's for dinner and I enjoyed a plethora of turkey and mashed potatoes and mini eggs. I called Sunday a wash on the diet front. I have been going hard for like 4 months and figured I deserved a day off. After dinner my sister, her boyfriend Marc, my dad, Steve and I were just sitting around the table hanging out and talking about our weeks and my dad decided to bring out the scotch (in true Glover fashion) and it wasn't long before I, as the designated driver for Steve and I, was the only sober person left.
It was a lot of fun though, Steve loosened up a bit and it was super fun to see him bonding with my family. He was pretty funny on the way home too, talking about apples and jolly ranchers and telling me stories from when he was a kid. He also promised to bench press 220 the next day.
Monday was also a day off for both Steve and I (poor dad had to work<3) so I dragged him out of bed at 8:30 and we went to the gym. He did not successfully bench 220 but that's okay. I love him anyway. I worked off some of the day before and then we just enjoyed a day off together <3!
A couple weeks ago at Weight Watchers one of the ladies brought in these two jars she had and one was labeled 'Lost' and the other was labeled 'Lose'. The idea behind it was she had put in one stone to represent every pound she wanted to lose and every time she lost a pound she would move one stone from the Lose jar to the Lost jar. and I thought that was kinda neat. So I picked up one jar and some purple stones (I'm cheap) and a sandwich baggie (really cheap) and worked out a similar set up. As of last week I have 35 stones in my jar and 35 left in my sandwich baggie! Half way there. It's all very exciting. I haven't weighed this low since Steve and I started dating!!
35lbs to go ;)
Harley and Devastator are doing good :) Always cute, always brightening my day! I promise I'll get some pics of them for next time.
