Christmas 2012
Christmas has been and always will be one of my favorite times of the year :)
Last year our Christmas tree got broken (by a very sweet kitty named Harley Quinn...) so after Christmas we went to Superstore and we bought a new one. Everything was 75% off so we picked one we liked and took it home and put it in the storage unit.
Fast forward to this year when we decide to put it up a week before Christmas. Steve assembled the tree while I pretty much stayed out of his way, untangled the garland and started getting the ornaments ready. The tree was HUGE. literally only about an inch from our ceiling, undecorated. Oh, and we had to move both the cat tree and the chair out of the living room to fit it. HUGE. We had to fold the top branches a bit to fit the star and it almost touched the ceiling!
Steve had Christmas Eve off so we spent the day over at the Larabies, eating delicious foods and celebrating the holiday. We stayed later than most of Melissa and Pat's family so we could watch the kids open their Christmas jammies and some presents and it was a lot of fun.
Christmas morning was really nice. We woke up and opened our gifts (main gifts: I got a tablet, Steve got Skylanders). Steve's dad sent us some money so we picked up a waffle/omelet maker and we had waffles for breakfast. We got ready and played some Skylanders. Around 11 Chelsea and Marc came over to open gifts.
After they left we got ready to pack up our stuff to take to Dad's house and Chelsea met us in the parkade while Marc went to his mom's for dinner. We ate a delicious turkey dinner and really just enjoyed the holiday.
