Sick kitties, final exams, overtime and well popcorn I guess
As many of you know, Harley had to be taken to the CARE animal hospital earlier this week. She ate some lilies which I have discovered are poisonous to cats, and usually cause kidney failure and death. Not a pretty idea, if you have a cat I suggest you avoid lilies as even the presence of some types can cause some serious damage. She had to spend two nights there as her blood work showed some high creatin (which could be caused by dehydration as well) so she was given an IV :( and they monitored her over the 48 hours. She is home now which is good, but seems a little sluggish. She is okay for the most part, eating, drinking, playing but she also seems to sleep a lot. I could be paranoid though.
She had a blood test today which says her creatin is still high. (not by much, mind you. 0.1) so for the next month I have to give her a needle everyday (or twice a day, I can't remember) to encourage her kidney function and she will go for another blood test in January. Fingers are crossed for that one. Hopefully there is no permanent kidney damage.
Finals are coming up, thank God. I don't know how much more microeconomics I can take! I am beyond ready for this semester to end so we can move on to next semester (AND my final year of my diploma!!). Just a few more papers/presentations/projects left and then my exams and then I am on Christmas holidays. Aka, Christy works fulltime for two weeks, Christmas somewhere in the middle, couple days off and back for semester 3!
Steve is good! He was off on Tuesday so we snuck off to Sears to get some professional pictures done and I have to say, I forget how tall my husband is until I see a picture of the two of us side by side lol. Other than that he is working like crazy. He even has a day of mandatory overtime this week. It happens to be tomorrow, which also happens to be the Vinyl Cafe so unfortunately Bryce will have to be my date. Usually on Friday night to Saturday morning Steve stays late to supervise some of the guys and his boss goes home early. So his night of mandatory overtime might end up being a 13 hour night. Luckily he has Saturdays off and uses those to sleep in. :)
Harley at the CARE center, her paw is okay it's just wrapped up so she won't pull her IV out.

Oh, I guess I should mention the popcorn. I had some to celebrate finishing my microeconomics assessment. It was good.
